» Beginning January 2010 until further notice, the reading room at the State District Archives Louny will no longer be open on Fridays.
» Decin 1989 - A chronicle of local events of 1989, the year that the Velvet Revolution changed Czechoslovak society, compiled by Decin archivists Petr Karlicek and Jan Nemec and published by the State District Archive Decin and the Decin Castle Initiative is available for the symbolic price of 89 CZK in Decin area bookstores, at the castle, and at the info center in Trzni ulice, Decin. The publication is in Czech only.
» We request that users of our services do not send payment in advance, but wait for an invoice for services rendered. Payment in cash or money stamps is not accepted.
» New legislation regulating the archives went into effect on July 1, 2009. On this date the Archives updated its Research Policy and its Services and Fees Table.
» Note to researchers: Work began in November 2007 on the digitalization of vital records held at the central branch of the State Regional Archives Litomerice. We anticipate that the complete collection should be available in digital form on this website by the end of 2011.
» The Decin Castle Initiative has placed two rare printed works from the 17th and 19th centuries in the care of the Decin branch of the State Regional Archives Litomerice, where they are now available for study. The first is a compilation of sermons delivered in Saxony dating from the early 17th century. The second, a very rare copy of an academic text on fruit cultivation published in 1860 by the renowned Decin Castle gardener, Franz Josst.
