Collections OnlineFurther information about our collections, electronic tools, digitized holdings and thematic archive groupsThe fourteen archival sites in our network hold almost 15,000 collections dating from 1057 A.D. to the present and measuring approximately 50,000 meters. Our goal is to provide our internet visitors with as much information as possible about this wealth of material. Detailed information about the collections of all of our archives is available in the VadeMeCum database (interface in Czech). In addition to information about the collections and existing aids (PDF 36 kB, in Czech), new tools will also be made available through this database. For nationwide archival searches, the user might turn to the collective Archives Database for the Czech Republic (interface in Czech). Information about our collections is also available through the topical database the Catalog of Seals (interface in Czech - Katalog pečetí, pečetidel a sbírkových odlitků) documenting collections in the Czech Republic. The below information about archives collections complements the VadeMeCum database. The section is organized by location of archival materials. For each collection the user will find a tracking number, name, source and time period, and for electronic aids, a brief description of the collection, for digitalized materials, a description of the relevant file. | Collection of vistas created up to 1850 | |||
Vistas created up to 1850 were compiled starting in 1994 in all district archives in the Czech Republic. In 1999 the Ministry of the Interior's Archives Office began publishing the collection in print. Volume II/1 - State Regional Archives, published in 1999, included vistas held in the State Regional Archives Litomerice network. In 2001 a second volume was dedicated to state regional archives. Vistas held at state regional archives are the subject of volume II/3, from 2003. The vistas presented in the linked file, held at State District Archives Ceska Lipa, represents an addendum to this volume, as the data from this archive were inadvertently not inlcuded in the printed volume.
