Digital Study Room – a new archival portal for the public
On 1st October 2024, the State Regional Archives in Litomerice will launch a testing version of the new public portal Digital Research Room at https://digi.soalitomerice.cz/digitalnibadatelna/
The publication portal of archival materials DIGITAL STUDY ROOM is a joint project of the National Archives, the State Regional Archives in Litoměřice and the Land Archives in Opava. The impetus for its creation was the need to respond to significant changes in the methodology of organising archival materials, which were nationally established by the new Basic Rules for the Processing of Archival Materials.
In addition to the possibility of presenting newly organized archival funds and collections, it also brings a number of new elements, functions and ways of working with archival materials. For example:
– improved user interface
– displaying the context of records in a tree structure
– integrated display of images per record
– the ability to publish records from archival tools in progress
– introduction to searching by Access Points, including their connection to CAM (Central Archive Module)
