Na základě usnesení vlády č. 875/2023 ze 22. listopadu 2023 došlo ke změně organizační struktury Státního oblastního archivu v Litoměřicíh. Pobočka Děčín byla od 1. ledna 2024 začleněna do Státního okresního archivu Děčín. Uložení archiválií zůstává stejné.
